Ooh la la, do we have a new red blend we love !
It’s another winner of the Ménage a Trois line of wines by Trinchero Family Estates, from California.
The original Ménage a Trois red blend is our tried and true favorite wine, in its price range.
If you ask Steven, Billy, Annette or myself what our go-to is, we would all choose our treasured Ménage…
With a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon this wine is soft, versatile, and consistently good. We love it all year round here in Hawaii and with all kinds of foods from pulled pork to seared ahi, and chocolate to cheesecake.
The Ménage has been with us through weddings and Super Bowls, sunsets and movie nights, holidays and ordinary days, and now we have a new family member to love….the Ménage a Trois “Silk”.
Made to be a little lighter than the original red, Silk is a blend of Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Petite Sirah, and a fitting name it is….
We blind taste tested Steven on Thanksgiving, and all he said was Mmmmmm,
We all did…
A beautiful ruby color in the glass, we smelled bright, red fruit aromas, and tasted cherries and raspberries, with hints of rose and violet, dried berries, and a hint of toasty spice.
Soft, smooth, and seductive, this affordable beauty will be often on our table and in our wine tote. I can’t recommend it highly enough, it is silky, sipping, deliciousness in a glass…
Aloha, and Happy Holidays,
